Hope you all had a great weekend :) 

I ended up going as a flight attendant Saturday.... nothing too exciting...

My favorite costume that I saw was a group of people dressed as Mario Kart with the balloons above their head for Battle Zone.... 

thought it was genius.

I really need some sleep, good healthy food, and a kick in the rear to work off some of the weekend indulgences .... this monogrammed yoga mat would certainly help with the motivation!

Brides of Beverly Hills

If any of you are like me, you'll watch any bridal/wedding show.  I limit my Bridezillas viewings to moments of pure boredom when nothing else is on the TV, but I love my fill of Say Yes to the Dress, Amsale Girls and Platinum Weddings.

Tonight is the premiere of Brides of Beverly Hills on TLC after Say Yes to the Dress.

I'm not saying it'll be anything like the best show ever, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, but you should probably still check it out.

Click on the link here to see a preview of tonight's episode, where a PORN STAR is getting married and Kevin Lee is the wedding planner. 

If nothing else, it should be entertaining. 

They also said that my beloved Frank from Father of the Bride is modeled after Kevin Lee.  

I love me some Frank, but personally think Kevin is quite annoying.  Did anyone else want to slap him when he was on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last week with Lisa and her daughter??

Halloween Inspiration

I decided to link up with Breakfast at Toast's Halloween Week!

 

Here is some Halloween inspiration to get you to the weekend :)

Nothing puts me in the mood for a holiday like home decor....

I love how hurricanes can be changed so easily to reflect the holiday or season

This weekend I'll be making 2 of my favorite "crack cake" bunt cakes, getting some orange food coloring, and recreating this: 

and, if I'm lucky, some more halloween treats...

If I had a pup, especially a teeny cute one like Giggy from RHOBH, 
I'd dress him up just like this little one

I normally put a lot of effort into finding a costume...

but this year I'm just not sure what to wear!?

Thoughts on Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds?? 

Apparently she has visited him in Boston 3 weeks in a row. They certainly do make an amazingly good-looking couple.  He is one of my biggest celebrity crushes... definitely in my top 5 freebies.

Did you ever watch 2 Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place??

Fell in looooove with him.  Such a good show.

And finally.... how did I just now start watching Big Bang Theory?

I'm obsessed.  I found it the same way I found my How I Met Your Mother obsession last year (although trust me, I'm not saying it's better than HIMYM) - they play nonstop reruns on TV at all hours of the day. I'm seriously addicted. I completely understand why the guy that plays Sheldon keeps winning Best Actor Emmy's.

Monogram Monday + Weekend Recap

Hope you all had a great weekend! 

Mine was extremely low-key, which was just what I had hoped for!  Friday I headed to the burbs to help baby sit the bf's family puppy... 

isn't she the sweetest?

she had just had surgery, and instead of a cone they gave her this shmancy inflatable collar....

Spent the night cooking, drinking some wine, and watching re-runs of Big Bang Theory in front of the fire and passed out early... 

Had the breakfast of champions.... 

the red velvet doughnut was amazing

and then went to a farm with pumpkins + a petting zoo...

and for today's Monogram Monday

the most adorable Cornhole Game I have ever seen
(we called it Cornhole in college but I know a lot of people call it Bags)

I seriously want to make a set just like this!

Wishlist Wednesday: Lazy Fall Weekend

I am so swamped this week that I have been moving from the second the alarm goes off until the second I hurl myself into bed.

All I am dreaming about is a lazy fall weekend - which is exactly what I plan to have starting Friday at 4:00 when my head stops spinning!! 

Baking fall treats..... 

A little fall shopping.... 

A loooooong overdue mani/pedi.... 

sipping spiced cocktails by the fireplace....

and in a perfect world....

 all of this in a cozy place overlooking the water
